Are you an experienced professional in landscape construction and maintenance with a keen eye for detail and strong project coordination skills? Howes Your Yard Inc. is looking for a dedicated Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our growing team! This role involves estimating and coordinating landscape construction and maintenance projects, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality execution.
Key Responsibilities: Meet with prospective and existing clients to assess needs and present design solutions. Create innovative landscape designs, including hardscapes, softscapes, and outdoor living spaces. Prepare accurate estimates for landscape construction and maintenance projects. Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships for cost-effective solutions. Oversee day-to-day operations of landscape crews to ensure timely project completion. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards. Assist with recruitment and training of new employees. Participate in winter operations coordination, including scheduling and logistics. Work in-office and on-site, with a hybrid work-from-home option during winter months. Rotating on-call during winter months
Qualifications: Degree/diploma in Landscape Design, Horticulture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field. 3-5 years of experience in Landscape Design/Project management. Strong sales skills and ability to present and sell designs. Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Dynascape, etc.). Strong estimating and cost analysis skills. Ability to read blueprints and project specifications. Excellent communication and time management skills. Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of local plants, materials, and sustainable practices. Working knowledge of Landscape Management Network (LMN) Software is an asset. Valid G driver’s license.
Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary ($60,000 - $70,000) based on experience. Company vehicle and phone provided. Benefits package available after 3 months.
